Why is it important to provide the correct data of the registrant?

A registrant is a natural person or a legal entity who creates a domain. The registrant is the domain holder for the period from the domain creation or gaining the rights to the existing domain until the domain deletion.

After the domain name registration, the domain holder has the right to manage and use the domain, cede the rights to the domain to another person, renew the validity term, update the data, transfer to another servicing registrar and delete the domain. These are the reasons why it is important to provide the correct data of the registrant.

More information on who can be the registrants (domain holders) is available at https://domains.lt/en/faq/for-persons-who-want-to-have-domain/what-is-the-procedure-for-domain-creation/

The confirmation of the order and making of the service agreement requires the payment performed by the registrant personally to verify the correctness of the data. Personal payment is stipulated by the agreements between the IPC and customers made by the method of login under the approved standard conditions.
